E580/E590
Models E580/E590 are the newer upgrade to model E530/E540. There are improvements in the feeder section with a larger side guide and enhanced letter separation. The other changes are a larger water reservoir for sealing and a letter processing speed of 150 letters per minute. Model E580 has strip tapes and model E590 has roll tape.

E530/E540
Model E530, shown below, can process letters as thick as 3/8" at speeds up to 140 per minute. This is an inexpensive new generation machine designed for mid-volume mailers. The E530 can hold up to 50 strip tapes that are automatically dispensed. Model E540 has the same specifications but uses role tape.

E680/E690
This is the upgrade of the Pitney Bowes 6274. This modular unit prints postage, seals and stacks envelopes up to 9 x 12" at 110 to 130 pieces per minute. Auto On/Off feature automatically turns the system on when it senses a letter and turns of after processing. The E680 has adhesive strip tape and model E690 shown below, has gum roll tape.

The 5600 has a great history. Production stopped in 1993 after a 20 year production run. It can process letters at 175 per minute and has roll tape. This was and is a very good machine, but lacks the sophistication of the current models. We recommend that if you decide on this unit, that you have it installed with an upgraded sealing unit.
